How to create hyperlinks within your message

Encase your link with "url tags" as shown in the examples below.

The part between the tags becomes the hyperlink.

Remember to include the forward slash in the closing url tag.

Note there are no spaces between the bracketed url tags and the text of your link.

Preview your post to check for accuracy.

From the preview page you can click each hyperlink to ensure the link works.

The hyperlink will open in a new window.

note:  the square brackets are on the two keys to the right of the letter "P" on your keyboard.

The basic format is:               [url]website[/url]

The enhanced format is:         [url=website]text goes here[/url]

Important Note:  Some urls contain the characters "%20" and the link will not work when using url tags in the body of your message.  You can still use the "Link URL" and "Link Name" boxes to include the link below your message in those cases.

Example 1 code:

[url]http://www.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?user=MuskokaBirdBoard[/url]

becomes…

http://www.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?user=MuskokaBirdBoard

Example 2 code:

I have found a penguin webcam at [url]http://www.montrealcam.com/en-biodome.html[/url]

becomes…

I have found a penguin webcam at http://www.montrealcam.com/en-biodome.html

And if you want to get real creative...

Example 3 code:

I have found a [url=http://www.montrealcam.com/en-biodome.html]penguin webcam[/url] from Montreal's Biodome.

becomes…
